Mobile Bay, Alabama. The view today from my hotel room. For those of you who do not know, I am moving again.  Yep, after working in Birmingham for 7 months and just living there 3 months, I am off again before you know it.  It was a great opportunity to come to the office down here and I am very excited and blessed for the opportunity to work with more great people within the organization that I work for.  Truly a blessing and I am very thankful.
My new boss was kind enough to let me come down to look at property and to get familiar with the area, as I have never been here before today.  My mom swears I have, but maybe we drove through it during our annual beach trip to Gulf Shores.
As I arrive downtown, I noticed Mardi Gras paraphernalia everywhere! Did you know that Mobile is where the original Mardi Gras started?  So they have a huge celebration here and it looks like a party that I will not want to miss.  Unfortunately I will have to wait until next year, as I will be spending the next 2 months in great capitol of Alabama, Montgomery, or better known as to Alabamians, “The Gump”.  I guess because it is the crappiest city in the entire world.  But I am not there to socialize and enjoy the scenery, I am there to make money and get down to business. Although they do have a Shakespeare Theatre/Festival that is said to be quite interesting.
Back to Mobile.  I was taken away at the beauty of the old homes with the Moss trees overflowing above the streets.  It is a beautiful little city that I look forward to exploring all of its history, art, food, and oh yes, the WATER!
I’ll stay in touch, so you be in touch!

A friend of a friend recommended Wintzell’s Oyster House on Daulphin Street, downtown Mobile.  So I took a stroll from my hotel down the bright, eclectic, yet cozy Daulphin Street to this unique eatery.

The server that I had, Alissa, was extremely sweet, and as a newcomer/tourist in the area, I really appreciated the Southern hospitality.

I had the Cajun Grouper and a half pound, yes, half pound, of the Broiled shrimp.  Absolutely amazing and I will surely be back!  They also have locations in Spanish Fort, Orange Beach and several other locations on the Gulf Coast-

Yummy!

I love you valentines day.

I used to write alot more... "But I don't have Time"

I really like writing.  If you look at my blog from 2 years ago, I wrote about everyday.  Because I enjoy writing and I know I have lots to say.  Some may enjoy, some may say I am crazy, will lose my job, shouldn’t say anything like that, or whatever.  But I enjoy it, and I don’t particularly care what other really say-except you still read my blog, so you must like it.

But that is not my point.  My point is that ” I am busy”  I am too busy for this, too busy for that”.  Ya know, I am lying to myself.  I am NEVER too busy for something that I like to do.  I do agree, I am a very busy girl.  I am about to move again for the second time in 6 months and I have a very busy job.  No, I am not important, I am just busy. But amongst all that business, I work very hard to maintain my relationships.

I am so tired of hearing people bitch about their busy-ness. So busy, that they can’t pick up the phone to call someone to say hello, or how are you doing? Are you kidding me?  I wish I could let someone live in my shoes for 2 days.  But I value those important relationships and will do everything I can to preserve them. I at least will send random text to let them know I am thinking of them. I don’t come home much and won’t be home again for probably 6 months.  But I make sure everyone knows in advance- ” Hey, I will be in town, I really want to see you and catch up”.  But when someone does not respond a week prior, and leaves you a voicemail the day of stating “they won’t be able to make it”… that is cool.  I understand.  But don’t be a coward and go to dinner at a restaurant where folks I know work at….and will go out of their way to tell me you were there and wished I would have been there too.

I am actually too busy for those relationships.  Relationships are based on 2 people, not 1.  But I am a positive person, and I am so happy I have great relationships, it so many places.  I love my sweet sweet friends, even those that are too busy.

Now, I am going to try to write more, I just have have to re-prioritize, because I enjoy it.
